Items may not qualify due to the size or weight of the particular product.
-Newark Musical Merchandise ships all orders via UPS or USPS. This is at our discretion depending on what the situation may require.
-Orders made through www.newarkmusical.com will only ship to United States. We are unable to ship internationally at this time due to the extra shipping costs that go with international shipping. If we have something that you are interested in you can contact us via email and, if possible, we will calculate shipping costs and figure out the best way to ship the product to you.
-Newark Musical WILL NOT ship to an address that is different from the customer billing address.
-Buyer assumes all shipping costs, to be paid at time of purchase.
-It is possible that orders placed early enough may ship on the same day. However, it can take up to two business days to process an order for in-stock items before it is shipped.
-Products that are out of stock or special order/request items may take longer to ship.
-Shipping costs will not be refunded for returns. The buyer must assume all shipping costs when returning an item.
-Newark Musical Merchandise reserves the right to hold, delay, or cancel any order that it feels may be fraudulent. Additional information may be requested from the customer to resolve such cases.
-One of the best ways for customers to avoid triggering a potential hold on their order is to make sure that their shipping name and address matches their billing name and address when placing the order.
-It is the responsibility of the customer to prove their identity if the above situation occurs.
Online Return Policy
If there is a problem with your purchase, you may return an item for a refund within 30 days of the date of purchase. Please inspect all contents in package and contact us within 10 days of receipt for defective, damaged or missing items from your shipment. We will pay shipping charges on the return for a new replacement of any item that is a result of our error or deemed defective by manufacturer tech support.
The replacement product will ship as soon as it is available by the same shipping service that was selected for the original purchase. Products must be returned with all original contents, including any and all manuals, warranty cards and outer packaging.
If a refund is requested, please contact us via email to obtain a Return Authorization Number and instructions to send the product back to us. You will be responsible for freight and insurance on returned items that are tested to be in normal working condition.
PLEASE NOTE: Any refunds granted can take between 7 and 14 business days to show back on your account.
Due to the nature of a hands-on, in-store experience, our in store return policy differs from our online return policy and is posted at each location.
How Are Shipping Charges Handled?
If you are returning a product for an exchange or refund, Newark Musical will refund the full purchase price excluding any shipping charges incurred on the original order. However, you are responsible for the shipping costs on the product that you are returning to Newark Musical. We do not credit any original shipping charges toward an exchange.
If the return is needed as a result of our mistake, Newark Musical will pay the shipping charges - both to have your item sent back to Newark Musical, and to send you a replacement item.
We can only accept items that are returned without signs of wear and tear and with all of the original contents and packaging. "Wear and tear" refers to any damage that was not present when the merchandise was received - rack mounting damage, scratches, dents, etc. "Contents" consist of any included parts and accessories, as well as the warranty card and manual, void of notes or markings. Packaging includes all inner and outer packaging, complete with the original barcode affixed.
Items not returned in the condition described here may be subject to
restocking fees (minimum 15% of the purchase price, as determined by our
cost of replacing the missing items including a processing fee for this
labor-intensive process) or refusal of the return. Larger items and items
that we ship directly from our vendors can be subject to a minimum 30%
restocking fee. This fee may apply if you refuse delivery or as a result
of delivery exceptions, as well as from a typical return. These conditions
apply to all returns regardless of the reason for the return. A restocking
fee will be charged for any defective item that is returned in damaged
Exceptions to Our Return Policy:
-There are no returns on clearance, discontinued, vintage, demo and used items.
-Copyrighted materials cannot be returned once opened due to copyright law. This includes sheet music, books, videotapes, DVDs, sample libraries, style disks, sound expansion boards, and software (which may also include software bundled with hardware).
-Disposable/consumable products cannot be returned once opened. This includes cleaning supplies, care products, and rosin.
-Personal use items that are used in the mouth or in the ear cannot be returned once opened due to health laws. This includes all guitar talk boxes, harmonicas, ear buds, ear plugs, and in-ear earphones.
-All parts, including but not limited to electronic parts, cannot be returned once opened due to possible usage. This includes all guitar, amplifier, and drum parts.
-All clothing cannot be returned once opened. This includes shirts, hats, and gloves.
-Certain items must be exchanged directly through the manufacturer if they are found to be defective. This includes tubes, strings, pickups, replacement speakers, raw speakers, drum heads, drumsticks, cymbals, cowbells, and harmonicas. These items can only be returned to us if they are unopened. Defective items must have a case number from the manufacturer before we can take them back.
-All returns must be factory fresh and in a re-sellable condition, otherwise you will be subject to a restocking fee. All original packing and paperwork including warranty card and owners manual must be included (where applicable).
-A quick note to you guys & gals guilty of returning items time and
time again – Please keep in mind that under certain conditions, some

Abuse of Return Privileges
Our return policy is in place to ensure our customers never get stuck with a wrong piece of gear. Those who violate the spirit of our return policy by having excessive returns may be subject to limitations or suspension of return privileges.
